Mortgage interviews are less common than they used to be, but they can still be an important part of any mortgage application.
An interview by the bank or building society manager used to be an integral part of the mortgage application process. In those days, the mortgage could be refused if the bank manager was not happy with the applicant and the way he or she handled the interview.
